Winchester Stables is well known as a premier full service equestrian facility for both riding and driving.  Our staff is knowledgeable, friendly and interested in your safety. If you are interested in riding or driving lessons, please contact us to put together a lesson package for you.  You can bring your own horse or learn from one of ours.  We have experienced school horses for both riding and driving.

Winchester Stables' location on the banks of the sparkling West River places you among some of Southern Vermont's most renowned hospitality and all-season recreation centers.  We are within 30 minutes of many ski resorts such as Mount Snow, Stratton, Bromley and Magic.  The area provides year round activities including golf, antiques, live music, fine arts and crafts, lovely inns for dining and a wide range of accomodations.

Winchester Stables is close to USAE horse shows and Area I USEA events and many ADS driving events and activities.

The historic village of Newfane, only minutes away, boasts one of the most picturesque town greens in Vermont, with 4-star restaurants and great shopping.  The nearby Riverbend Lodge has 20 rooms and reasonable rates. The lodge makes a fine base for exploring the surrounding countryside.
