Situated on the banks of the West River just outside the historic village of Newfane, Winchester Stables is conveniently located to many of Vermont’s prime recreational destinations.

Within 30 minutes of Mount Snow, Stratton, Bromley and Magic ski resorts in winter, the area also boasts Class A golfing in summer, with antiquing, music, and art festivals to be enjoyed year round. In addition, there are several country inns and fine or casual dining options available nearby.

Directions

From North and South:
Take Exit 2 off I-91.  Left off the exit ramp.  Follow through blinking red light into center of Brattleboro.  Turn left at light.  Go up the small hill and turn left after Courthouse (following signs to Rt. 30) then right at the end of the common onto Rt. 30.  Follow Rt. 30 for about 12 miles, through the Village of Newfane.  Just out of the village, turn right onto Radway Hill Rd.  Go about 1/4 mile, then bear right onto River Rd.  You will see a Winchester Stables sign on the corner.  The farm is just under a mile down on the left side of the road.

From the West:

Take Rt. 9.  When you arrive in Vermont, follow the roundabout halfway around and get on I-91 south.  You will only be on I-91 for 1 exit.  Then follow direction from the north.
